Meet Cliff Golub of Clifford M Golub Associates in Hicksville, NY
How long have you been with your firm and what’s your role there?
I am the Principal and Owner of Clifford M. Golub Associates. I started the firm in 1977 when I bought it from my dad. Back then we were the Bernard B. Golub agency which he started in 1952.
If you have a niche market that you’re involved with, how did you get started in that niche?
We are a general insurance agency and write all kinds of insurance overall. But we do have a niche in recreational vehicles, aka “big toys”, and anything that falls in line with our clients’ hobbies.
What is your proudest moment in serving a client?
I enjoy being able to work on difficult risks and being able to provide coverage that is said to be unavailable is always rewarding. Working with an experienced u/w to manuscript an endorsement and put a policy around it is also a challenge I like. Actually, before computers (BC) we had real underwriters that didn’t answer challenges with “the u/w guide says” being creative was much more exciting back then.
What are 3 key words you’d use to describe what you do?

How would you describe your productivity before and after using eForms Wizard?
Before eForms Wizard, there was redundant entry required. With eForms Wizard, I have eliminated repetitious redundancy. I now am able to gather, store and track prospect and client data securely. From day one, I found eForms Wizard to be simple yet comprehensive. eForms Wizard is intuitive and an easy tool which makes my life as a producer more efficient.
What is something most people don’t know about you – maybe a unique hobby or interest?
I was involved in professional and amateur motor sports as an organizer and an official and I am still involved today. I am a 35 year member of Sports Car Club of America.
What does an ideal weekend look like?
I like to kick back. In the summer I spend time at Eagle Lake Community where I have a park style RV. It is located just outside the Pocono mountains. I am also on the board of directors for this 3000 owner community. You can also find me at a road race track on the weekends.
What is your personal theme song?

Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?
Aruba! The people are so friendly! It’s a tourist-based economy with 8 -10 different cuisines. It’s the best!
What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
Cleaning.
